A report released by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis noted record levels of investment in India’s renewable energy sector, with a total of US$14.5 billion (S$20.6 billion) invested in FY2021-2022. These figures reflect a 125 per cent growth compared to FY2020-2021 and are 72 per cent higher than the pre-pandemic levels of FY2019-2020. In this episode, Ms Disha Agarwal, Senior Programme Lead, Council on Energy, Environment and Water, India, speaks on the growth of the renewable energy sector in India, and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
